Real husbandry for the animals we keep — heat, humidity, enclosure, diet — plus terrarium setup and the breeding projects we have run. When you take an animal home we go through it again at the counter.

The other first snake we point people to. Mexican blacks, bananas, high-white cal kings when we have them.

Handling: Confident eaters, usually calm once they know the room. Still a snake — secure the lid.
Enclosure: Escape-proof. Hide, water, aspen or similar. They will find a gap.
Heat: Warm end the mid-80s. Cool side the mid-70s.
Humidity: 40–50%. Dry is safer than damp.
Diet: Frozen/thawed rodents. Kings eat. That is part of why they are a first snake.
