Phelsuma grandis
The looking-glass animal. Day-active, electric, not a handling pet.
- Handling
- Watch them. Skin tears if you grab. This is a display gecko.
- Enclosure
- Tall and planted. Live plants if you will keep them alive. Screen or well-vented glass.
- Heat
- 80–85°F by day, a basking patch a few degrees warmer.
- Humidity
- 50–70% with a daily mist, then dry-out. Stagnant wet kills.
- Diet
- Insects plus a gecko diet / fruit nectar. They hunt in the light.
